SANDYACHTING IN FRANCE

France is one of the major sandyachting countries.

The French Federation of Sandyachting (FFCV) is a member of the International Federation of Sand and Land Yachting (FISLY). It plays an important role with regards to the positions held within the Federation as well as by the number of registered pilots.

In fact, France is the dominant country in this sport. For example, it was rewarded a total of 13 medals of which 3 gold medals in Class 2, Standart Class and Promo Class during the 2008 Worldwide Championships in Argentina. France was also European champion in Class 5 Sports and Promo Class in 2007.

France is also the country which counts the greatest number of addicts and such an extensive and well-structured network of schools.

Aesthetically appealing and spectacular, these Championships will be our showcase

The French Federation of Sandyachting relies on the impact of this major event to confirm and pursue the development of this sport in the last years. These Championships will be a driving vector for the Federation policy but above all, they will be an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to introduce this sport to the largest number of people.

For this international event, the FFCV has set up operations for the Federation young graduates. The FFCV welcomes the most deserving graduates to let them take part in refereeing operations and assist with the general organisation of the event.

Lastly, the promotion of French know-how abroad should allow France to strengthen its leading position in this sport during the Championships and thus participate to the development of the sandyachting activity worldwide.
