Sandyachting is popular throughout 33 countries in the world : Argentina, Aruba (Caribbean), Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chili, Czech Republic, Denmark, Djibouti, England, France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Japan, Jersey, Lithuania, Mexico, Morocco, New Zealand, Poland, Spain, Scotland, Switzerland, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela, Wales and Wallis and Futuna.
18 countries took part in the 2010 Championships in Belgium : Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chili, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United States of America.

With the implementation of an international policy, the use of new sandyacht boats and the appeal of the Mont Saint-Michel, France is hoping to play host to competitors from over 25 countries.
